Exam for recruitment to the post of Assistant Manager in SEBI has been postponed due to ongoing COVID-19 situation and application date has been extended. Fresh examination dates for Phase I and II will be announced in due course.


Revised application form dates are as follows:


Closure of Registration and Editing of Application - 31.07.2020


Online Fee Payment - up to 31.07.2020


Last Date for Printing filled-in Application Form - 15/08/2020


Application Fee - Application fee is Rs.1000/- for Unreserved/OBC/EWS candidates and Rs.100/- for SC/ST/PwBD candidates. Fee may be paid online through through Debit Card, Credit Card or Net Banking.




Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) is a statutory regulatory body of Government of India, entrusted with the responsibility to regulate the Indian capital markets. SEBI has notified 147 vacancies for the post of Officer Grade 'A' (Assistant Manger) in various streams as per details given below:

Candidates are permitted to apply for maximum of 2 streams. Separate on-line application for each stream will have to be submitted and requisite fees is to be paid for each application.


Candidates appearing for the final examination of qualifying degree are eligible to apply. However, final selection depends on successfully obtaining the requisite qualification at the time of joining.


Age Limit: 30 years as on February 29, 2020. Upper age limit is relaxable upto a maximum of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates.


Selection Process


There shall be a three stage selection process i.e. Phase I (on-line screening examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each), Phase II (on-line examination consisting of two papers of 100 marks each) and Phase III (Interview).


Phase I On-Line Examination: Phase I online examination shall be for screening purpose only and marks obtained in this phase shall not be counted for final selection. The exam will consist of:

There shall be negative marking (1/4th of marks assigned to the question) for the Paper 1 and Paper 2 in Phase I.


Phase II On-Line Examination:

There shall be negative marking (1/4th of marks assigned to the question) for Paper 2 in Phase II (except IT stream for which details shall be informed in due course).


Medium of Examination for Phase I & II - Hindi and English


Interview: Based on performance in Phase II, candidates will be shortlisted for interview. Candidate may opt for interview either in Hindi or English.


Final selection will be based on performance in Phase II and Interview. Weightage of marks obtained in Phase II will be 85%, while marks obtained in interview shall be given a weightage of 15%.
